Otaki Small Producers Market

There is an abundance of Festivals and Markets in Otaki and the Small Producers Market is no exception. Rain or shine, every Saturday between 9.00am - 12.00pm you can head down to the Small Producers market, there you will find food stalls which are centred round the La Casa Romana restaurant.

All produce grown locally, here you will find, hazelnuts, chestnuts, free-range eggs, figs, chillies and a selection of Das Bier, a German low-alcohol beer, handcrafted and brewed in Otaki. Fancy a drink? Then we suggest you try the feijoa brandy, chardonnay or the merlot, they are all made without preservatives, all products are spray-free and “mostly organic.”

And to get your taste buds excited, you'll also be able to choose from a range of dairy products including cottage cheese, buttermilk, creamy-style yoghurt (which is super yummy!), all the dairy products are are churned on the premises, so they'll always be really fresh. And for the daring there is also a sheep cheese. For the meat lovers out there the Salamis are delious, both garlic and black pepper!

So next time your looking for something locally grown, a European Flavor or just something a little special, visit the Small producers market on Saturday morning, it's free entry for everyone visiting.
