A-Z of an Otaki Summer


Nothing beats a day at the beach. An inexpensive, fun day for the family, a great place for friends to hang out, or someplace to go by yourself, enjoy the sun and read a good book. Like many beaches on the magnificent Kapiti Coast, Otaki Beach is wide, long and gently sloping into the sea.  





There is a lot to do at Otaki Beach, building sandcastles, playing beach volleyball, collecting pipi, fishing, picnic's, swimming and sun bathing and here's zilchoo.com's A-Z of an Otaki summer...

Pavlova - a Kiwi christmas Classic

Pavola, the traditional Kiwi Dessert, no party is a success without one!  Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum in Wellington, celebrated its first birthday in February 1999 with the creation of the world's largest pavlova, named "Pavzilla", which was cut by the Prime Minister of the time, Jenny Shipley.
